Leuchtturm's AURUMXpert gives you the ability to quickly, non-destructively test the authenticity and purity of precious metals using electrical conductivity. It is primarily designed for the inspection of investment ingots, coins and jewellery made of precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum or palladium. AurumXpert is a reliable partner for precious metals dealers, jewellers, numismatists and professional investors.

Features and Specifications:

• Measuring Principle: Accurate determination of electrical conductivity in units of MS/m (megasiemens per meter) and subsequent comparison with a metal database.

• Conductivity range:

• Metals detected: gold, silver, copper, platinum, palladium, tungsten and others

• Identification of underwater counterfeits: The tester detects, for example, gold-coated tungsten core ingots due to their different conductivity profile. It detects typical counterfeit materials such as tungsten, brass, copper or iron.

Use:

• Suitable for testing gold and silver bars (up to approximately 2 ounces)

• Measurements can be made through plastic protective packaging (e.g. blister packs)

• Measurement penetrates up to 1 mm

• Maximum testable size may vary slightly depending on geometry and material.
