Tatarstan

Part of the Russian Federation. When the USSR collapsed in 1991, Tatarstan briefly declared independence. However, it subsequently joined the RSFR as a republic with great autonomy. The banknotes of Tatarstan also date from this period. In total, 38 banknotes were issued between 1991 and 1996.
