The latest 200-page specialist catalogue now includes detailed and comprehensive descriptions of all printing plates, including its large colour display, unlike the first edition. In addition, a large colour display is made of, among other things, the retouches of the 3 kr stamps and the striped paper on the 9 kr stamps. The machine and sheet decals are also newly processed.
Almost all "Austrian silent stamps" are illustrated on 10 pages with their scoring and pricing. The most important specialties are treated in detail: e.g. retouched types, joined types, creased and striped paper, machine and sheet decals, stamps with center backing, double-sided printing, stitch transparencies (Ladurner), etc.
The publication is also currently updated with additional new entirety documenting very rare frankatures e.g.. the predecessor of the Tokyo proof, 6 integrity pieces from the first day of issue (1.6.1850), among others a unique registered letter with the only known "Recomandirt" first day cancellation and a letter with the only known blue-green first day cancellation from Hungary. The catalogue documents the postal use of stamps of the 1st issue on extraordinary to unique entirety (e.g. mixed frankings 2 kr 1850 + 2 kr 1858 and 2 kr + 10 ct, mixed franking 3 pieces 2 kr 1850 + 10 kr 1858. Also shown are postal forms (return receipts and demand sheets) and reprints (their resolution and prices).
Catalogue records are shown in euros. They have been determined on the basis of relevant recent auction results, by comparing catalogue prices, and reflect relative market value.
The catalogue is 200 pages in B5 format. It is printed in full colour, offset, on 130gsm coated paper with a perfect binding.
Only a limited number of these monographs have been produced and only single copies will be offered in our e-shop!!!
