The banknote with a face value of 10,000 Iranian Rials (Rials) with the portrait of Ruhollah Khomeini was one of the commonly circulated currency in Iran in 2019. The front side depicts the very face of Ayatollah Khomeini, who led the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Although it is a relatively low denomination, many Iranians still use it today for smaller transactions.
